Space Caretaker For Hire! - Year 3 FMP Project

Space Caretaker For Hire is a new 3D platformer set in a universe made from artificially made planets, all made by the Horizon Planet Organisation. You play as Nova, a staff member at Horizon, your job is to go round to different planets and fix any issues they may have. Your role as Caretaker will see you rebuilding structures and helping civilians. Nova is down on his luck however, he has been working as a caretaker for around 40 years and is constantly grumpy about his work. 

This demo will take you to the Planet Velcrum to help fix issues with the planets structures which have recently been destroyed due to a freak storm. You'll meet a bunch of unique and interesting characters as you explore the world. 

CONTROLS 

Keyboard and Mouse (Recommended)

• WASD - Movement
• Space - Jump (Press again to double Jump)
• E Key - Interact with NPC's and objects in the level.
• Shift - Pause
• Left Mouse Button - Air Dash (You can only air dash after 1 jump)
• Right Mouse Button - Spin Attack

XBOX CONTROLLER 

NOTE: Controller support needs to be toggled from Pause > Settings > Controls > Control Options

• Left Stick - Movement | Right Stick - Camera Control
• A - Jump (Press again to double Jump)
• X - Interact with NPC's and objects in the level & Air Dash (You can only air dash after 1 jump)
• B - Spin Attack

YOUR AIMS 

• Collect resources and fix the Signal Tower at the top of the map.
• Collect resources and fix the bridge at the start of the level.
• Collect all 5 Spatial Gear items
• Complete the 4 Mini Portal Levels.
• Explore the world and interact with NPC's!

NOTE: If you ever get stuck in the game, Press L to reset the game
